DIY: Glitter Christmas lettering

13 Dec gliiter.

Looking to add some Christmas charm to your walls? I love Pinterest, not only is it another great way to find other creative’s but you can discover anything from recipes, to DIY tutorials and more. This one was added to my “Christmas inspiration” board and led me to this gorgeous blog, Pencil Box. You can learn how to create your own version of this simple, yet stunning Christmas cheer. Pick out your own lyrics from your favourite Christmas carol and pick your glitter colour (although I do love the gold colour!).  I think I might pick “All I want for Christmas is…you“. What lyrics would you pick?

What a sizzling edition, Adore

6 Dec Adore3

The Summer edition of Adore Home Magazine is out – I LOVE the front cover and cannot wait to sit down (outside of work), with a glass of vino and read it properly. I have always had a soft spot for ‘palm springs’ themes. This edition is jammed-packed full of great styling ideas (in all colours of the rainbow) and gift ideas. Best thing, they’re all hyperlinked and can be purchased straight away. Perfect for those (and me) who don’t live in Metro areas. Well done girls, another super edition.

I am really excited about the injection of colour into rooms, without it looking too childish or garry - I think I’ve had too many years of ‘neutrals’ and ‘antique whites’.

I love the highlight pipping on the lounge and ‘colour-burst’. I just hope Mr B has prepared himself for colour injection into our house this summer!

Christmas inspiration

The Chrismas season is upon us – last week I diligently put up our Christmas tree on December 1st. I love and loathe the Christmas season – love making decorations and spending time with family and friends, loathe spending silly amounts of money on presents for the ‘sake’ of giving presents. So this year, we have decided to ‘cap’ the spend in family and I have decided to make/buy more meaningful presents instead of giving ‘generic’ presents. I have created a board on Pinterest with my Holiday Inspiration, check it out here. Is anyone else making presents this year?
I love this wreath – such a great idea!
Truffles are an ‘easy’ present for friends at work, serving for impromptue guests, after-dinner treats.

I love this idea – perfect for ‘dressing up’ the ice bucket or colourful addition to cocktails:
