Bright and cheery Friday

20 Jul

Some bright and cheery interiors I found via Pinterest this week. Have been in bed with the flu (again), so needing some cheering up! Have a lovely weekend :)

I know Chevron is THE trend at the moment (almost over it), but a small wall wouldn’t be so bad?! via here

Loving the Dalmation wallpaper and barcart, via here

Clashing of stripes and floral, vintage bag, plus a dose of gold, via here

I discovered these gorgeous Blazers via Two Penny Blue – amazing blazers & everytime you purchase one, they donate a school uniform to an African school girl – read the whole story here >

Pastel, dipped chairs – I have very similar chairs, which I’ve painted white, and would lovely in a similar treatment, via Homelife

DIY: typography glass jars

13 Jul

How beautiful are these personalised glass jard, found on one of my favourite blogs, Oh Happy Day (how can you not be happy visiting this blog!). I have seen similar projects with transfers, but this looks a lot simpler and easier (which means I’ll most likey do it!). I think this would be perfect for my glass canisters of flour and sugar etc.

Interiors : Sydney home

12 Jul

This stunning home featured on The Design Files yesterday – love it to death. As I mentioned on my Facebook page yesterday, if I could relocate it (of course), I’d move in.

I love the mix of vintage items – the mis-match of vintage frames found at local markets, the mix of Morrocan feel with the lamp and klim rugs and the Sunday School benches and table from David Met Nicole (now closed :(  ) . The house has a relaxed and warm feeling, and can image curling up on the Chesterfield with a magazine, or sitting around the table at a dinner party.

DIY : cloud mobile

12 Jul

Seeing as today is pouring with rain, I thought I’d share this little DIY project I saw the other day via Pinterest via Handmade Charlotte. This gorgeous mobile was created by Petite Poulou (French blog). Everything looks divine, unfortunately my French is quite limited. Here is the instructional pdf DIYmobileNuage-Fanny-PetitPoulou, again in French, but looks rather simple. I think this would be super cute in a nursery – will just have to wait a while until I test this one out!!

web love: the art of packing

6 Jul

It is indeed an ‘art’ to pack efficiently. I must say, I can pack going to a location, on the way home though, its a completely different story! Clothes stuffed in, used clothes against clean clothes, barely anything folded which results in the entire contents being shoved into the washing machine “just to make sure”! Learn how to fold things neatly and place them in your divine case, with the Louis Vuitton “Art of packing” interactive ‘game” >

I would love to be this organised one day, maybe with the purchase of such a fine piece of luggage, these skills are all ‘thrown in’ for good measure?!
