Some Friday/weekend reading from one of my fave emags Fete Press – these ladies are so clever creating a gorgeous magazine each edition, combining beautiful typography, photography and unique stories – read now!
This gorgeous design studio Paralax, from Adelaide, would be a dream to work in. Also lovely how colour cordinated everyone is!
Having one of those “oh dear” days (well seems like a few weeks now) - dealing with banks and their (insert appropriate word) policies. But how gorgeous are thes deer prints from Urban Road – definitely would hang this in my kitchen, for all of those “Oh dear” culinary moments! Also on sale at Temple & Webster – join if you haven’t already, fabulous bargains….like these!
As a graphic designer, I love the thought of creating my own fabric design. Have experimented in the past, but have only ended up in the scrap pile, certainly nothing I could wear with pride! I saw this ‘behind the scenes’ You Tube video of Liberty’s textile designers. Such an amazing insight to see the process, and some of the fabulous new range.
Liberty have also released a range of ulphostery fabrics – the same beautiful prints, only on a heavier fabric to withstand the daily use as furniture so happens to encounter.
The latest edition of est magazine is live – and what a bumper feature. Here are just a few snaps that caught my eye. I know I’ll be enjoying this over the weekend, curled up on our lounge with a coffee and macbook. Have a great weekend (and promise to get back into more blog posts next week).
(above) Loving this Bally print and rustic table
Clean, neutral living space – love the white floorboards and mantle
What's with the name, I hear you ask?! My name is Emma Barrett, I am a Corporate graphic designer by day, freelance designer (here) by night. "Emmy & Mouse" is about me and my mouse (hardware) and the adventures we have designing and discovering the web/twitter/blogs/pinterest etc.
I am a lover of type, a blogger, a decorator, a diy-er, a sewer, a wife and mum to a chocolate lab(!), was a partner/designer at littlelki.com.au (now closed) and now a student - I'm studying Interior Decoration (via distance). I long to build my dream house and open my interiors/general store in regional NSW. This blog is about what inspires me, my designs (graphic & interiors) and creative projects. Hope you enjoy :)
