Bit of a mixed bag today – just some gorgeous images from new and old friends, I discovered today:
Fabulous new ‘Spring gardening’ shop window from one of my favourite stores, Bendy Street Emporium – LOVE the huge, rustic mirror and what looks like, vintage cane chair.
This delicious 100% wood watch from 3rd & Bird Emporium – a new find, can’t wait to check out this store in Gunnedah this Saturday.
This great mixed media painting by Fash Art Home – great colours, ready to hang and reasonably priced!
The beauty of blogging is discovering new creative people, and finding those who are located within the same state/country is even better! Today I discovered Sarah from Find your Happy – a designer who is now located in Orange, NSW (just a hop, skip and jump down the road from me). I immediately fell in love with her baskets and thought I would ask her a few questions about her creative process. I giggled out loud when I read her responses, we have both walked very similar paths! Continue reading
I’ve had a bit of girl/creative crush on Tamara Maynes for a couple of years now, my sister Georgie use to work for her in Bowral one day a week. I have always loved Tamara’s ethos on handmade and using ‘old-world’ skills – which we also shared with our business, Littlelki Boutique. It seems the past few years, the trend for ‘handmade’ and ‘bespoke’ crafts are growing and growing – so modern craft lovers rejoice! Continue reading
Some Friday/weekend reading from one of my fave emags Fete Press – these ladies are so clever creating a gorgeous magazine each edition, combining beautiful typography, photography and unique stories – read now!
This gorgeous design studio Paralax, from Adelaide, would be a dream to work in. Also lovely how colour cordinated everyone is!
I have (finally) created a facebook page for this blog – it was all getting a little confusing between my personal page and blog posts. So if you’re on Facebook and like my blog, please pop ‘like’ my “Emmy & Mouse facebook” page!
I’m hesitant to post this, because I want to be selfish and win this REAL Eames Rocker myself. Ok, alright, I’ll share. Pop over to Lucy’s blog The Design Files by 10pm AEST today and you could win an Eames Rocker. I know, right? Did your heart just stop a little too!!
Adore Magazine, whom I adore (lol!) is soon to launch an online homewares store Adore Home. So the gorgeous items you see in the mag, you’ll be able to shop online. You can read about an interview with Loni Parker at Interiors Addict here >

The wonders of Pinterest has found me a new, gorgeous lifestyle blog – I feel so relaxed and dreamy looking at the beautifuly styled images. So inspired, I’m making Lemon Curd toinght (my mum’s favourite) and will attempt a hand painted linen tea towel. I’m visiting mum for the weekend and thinking these would be perfect ‘gifts’. I love that everything is quite simple and not overly fussy. I have added this to my Blog love and sure I’ll be popping by regularly. Enjoy!

I’ve started the arduous task of recording all the blogs and sites I love – and by ‘love’ I mean visit daily/weekly. There are SO many blogs and sites out there but just wanted to record the ones I mostly frequent. You can view my ‘Blog love’ list here. Most mornings, I log onto Twitter, Pinterest and check my emails, then quickly visit a few of these blogs. I still have a few that I haven’t listed. Have I listed a blog you love or can recommend a blog that you think I would love?
Aren’t these the sweetest gift tags you’ve seen? The very talented Claire from Fellow Fellow created these gorgeous watercolour gift tags, which would be perfectly adorned on any gift. And best of all, she is offering them as a FREE download. So pop over to Fellow Fellow and see the other gorgeous DIY projects and design inspiration.

Looking to add some Christmas charm to your walls? I love Pinterest, not only is it another great way to find other creative’s but you can discover anything from recipes, to DIY tutorials and more. This one was added to my “Christmas inspiration” board and led me to this gorgeous blog, Pencil Box. You can learn how to create your own version of this simple, yet stunning Christmas cheer. Pick out your own lyrics from your favourite Christmas carol and pick your glitter colour (although I do love the gold colour!). I think I might pick “All I want for Christmas is…you“. What lyrics would you pick?
